Make memories NOT a mess

The dancefloor is for dancing, not for dumping rubbish.

It might feel like one small can, but when thousands of people leave their rubbish on the ground, the impact adds up fast. Cans, cups and other waste can be trampled into the earth, blown into surrounding bushland or make their way into the river, causing serious harm to the environment and the wildlife that calls it home.

If you’re deep in the dancefloor hold onto that luke warm beer you’ve been clutching for a little longer, then use the bins provided.

Pack it in. Pack it down. Pack it out.

That broken chair or forgotten tent doesn’t magically disappear when you drive away. Left-behind waste takes time, energy and resources to clean up, and much of it ends up in landfill.

Let’s keep each other accountable. If you see a mate, or anyone around you, drop their rubbish on the ground, don’t be afraid to politely call it out.

A quick reminder can make a bigger difference than you think, helping create a culture where everyone takes responsibility for the place we’ve come together to enjoy.
