We are blessed to be able to come together on such precious and beautiful land and that is why we consider it fundamental that those participating in Strawberry Fields understand the commitment we show to minimising our impact.
We are a leave no trace festival - please RESPECT & REMEMBER this.
CASHLESS
The cashless system allows us to integrate the Rewash Revolution - a reusable crockery initiative that reduces single use plastic/ waste and reduces our impact on the environment.
REWASH REVOLUTION
This initiative eliminates a large proportion of single-use items from the festival and reduces our overall footprint. Wooden cutlery and banana, rice husk plates and bowls are all created from waste products.
CARBON OFFSETTING
We are proud to partner with Treecreds to offset 100% of carbon emissions from audience travel to and from the festival site! The festival also purchases additional carbon offset credits to cover any additional emissions from those who take the official Strawberry Fields charter bus.
COMPOSTING TOILETS
We are thrilled to again provide composting toilets throughout the festival. Composting toilet systems take thousands of litres of waste (which would otherwise be transported offsite and treated with nasty chemicals) and turn it into nutrient rich soil for farming!
SUSTAINABLE POWER
When you’re at Strawberry Fields, you boogie to beats powered by sustainable power. We are committed to powering 100% of the festival through biodiesel fuel and other alternative energies.
CAMPING BUDDY
Created by the legends at Green Music Australia and QUT, Camping Buddy is a free website that makes planning your festival campsite a breeze & we’re proud to be supporters. Did you know over 50% of all festival waste comes directly from campsites? 1 tent = 8750 plastic straws!
BYO Water
Free water points are available across the event - simply BYO water bottle and large water container for your campsite and help us avoid tens of thousands of single-use plastic bottles being used or sent to landfills.
CAMPING RENTALS & REPAIRS
Bring less to the festival and rent your camping essentials at Strawberry. Pre-order items including tents, bedding, iceboxes and Gazebos.
Online booking will be available closer to the festival.
CLEAN CAMPSITE COMPETITION
Strawberry Fields Festival are excited to be partnering with our friends at B-Alternative to host the Clean Campsite Competition!
The cleanest, most sustainable camps will go into the running to win double passes to SF26.
Win via social media submissions or the roaming team on the ground handing out on-the-spot passes to the cleanest campsites.
To enter the social media competition:
1) Take a picture of your clean campsite at SF25.
2) Upload it to Instagram, tagging SF and B-Alternative.
3) Make sure you are following both accounts on Instagram.
