Amphi is a Naarm/Melbourne-based performance duo made up of Azita and Billy, whose collaborative practice spans sound, movement, and installation. With roots in dance, visual art, and electronic music, their work blurs the boundaries between dance floor, gallery, and gathering space.
For this performance ‘Learning to move with The Land again’, Amphi presents a hybrid piece that combines curated sonic landscapes, spoken word, installation, and contemporary dance to explore our collective relationship with nature and the environment. The work moves through themes of grief, heartbreak, and loss, confronting what has been done to the natural world, while gesturing toward care, connection, and what is still possible.
Azita (she/her), a dancer, choreographer and DJ, brings a rich movement vocabulary shaped by years of training in both classical and street styles. Her performance history spans Disneyland LA, Moomba Festival, and more recent experimental works for initiatives like (nexus) by MaggZ and Luna Blessings at Sub Club.
Billy (he/him), an installation artist and DJ, contributes a spatial and sculptural sensitivity, grounding the piece in physical texture and atmosphere.
Together, Amphi builds immersive, emotionally resonant spaces, part ritual, part rave, that ask us not just to listen or watch, but to feel, remember, and respond.
