We are excited to announce there is a rare opportunity to join the Strawberry Fields Festival team as a freelance Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to support our 2025 campaign. Our core team have been with the festival for 6+ years and we’re on the hunt for a like minded passionate professional to join the fold for the long term. This is NOT a full-time position and is freelance part-time hours for a 7-8 month period starting May/June 2025.

Strawberry Fields is one of Australia's longest running independent, underground festivals featuring a mix of emerging and internationally recognised live acts and DJs from around the world. Held in the beautiful town of Tocumwal, NSW during November we place importance on community, sustainability and ofcourse creativity. If you are into festivals, music, art and adventure and you have professional experience in content marketing, this could be your dream gig! What You'll Do 

  • Always-on social media management including post development, community management, copywriting, scheduling and reporting. 

  • Produce, shoot, edit and optimise video and photography content for multiple social media platforms including: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube

  • Working with our paid media specialist to supply assets and combine organic / paid reporting

  • Website copy updates

  • Copywriting for email/ social/ web to ensure consistency across platforms

  • Work with the Marketing Manager to support the execution of the 2025 Marketing strategy

  • File management of social content on company Dropbox

  • Identify opportunities for organic growth utilising data and analytics

  • Live event capture of content and posting during the event

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate marketing content rollout

What You've Got 

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Media, Communications or similar 

  • 3-4 years in a similar role 

  • Proven success in social media content creation and community management for existing brands and or events

  • Experience using Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok for established brands and staying up to date with feature releases and social media trends 

  • Demonstrated strong copywriting skills

  • Proactive, ability to work autonomously, with a sense of urgency and a positive can-do attitude 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail

  • Well organised planner who works well under timeline pressures 

  • Find ways to repurpose existing content to reinvent assets and messaging

  • Proficient at photography and videography editing skills in Photoshop, Canva or similar programs 

  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with different stakeholders 

  • The ability to generate fresh, engaging, and original content ideas.

  • Maintain Strawberry’s community and messaging (monitoring and interacting with our audience on multiple social media platforms)

Beneficial but not essential: 

  • Strong photography and videography editing skills would be highly valued

  • Experience shooting video and photography valued but not mandatory

  • Experience in canva, Adobe Suite. Particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and InDesign

  • PR & Influencer management
