Traveling FROM melbourne

The drive from Melbourne to the Wildlands is 3 hours long. You can follow the high level directions below, click here to load directions, or use the Google Map coordinates 35°48'35.1"S 145°26'58.3"E to direct your path.

1. If leaving from Central Melbourne, take the Tullamarine Freeway towards the Airport. Please note Citylink tolls will apply.

2. Take Exit 14 to merge onto the M80 Metropolitan Ring Road.

3. Take the exit onto M31 Hume Freeway towards Shepparton, and continue on Hume Freeway for approx 90km.

5. Take the exit onto A39 Goulburn Valley Highway towards Shepparton, and continue 60km to Shepparton.

6. Once you have passed through Shepparton town, continue on A39 Goulburn Valley Highway, following all signs to Tocumwal.

7. After crossing the bridge over the Murray River, turn right at the roundabout to reach the historic town of Tocumwal, where you can stop for all supplies that you may require before entering the festival. Click here for the list of local shops & services.

8. Once you have stocked up, return to the roundabout and take Tuppal Road heading out of town. You MUST STOP at the Railway Crossing for a minimum of 10 seconds to check for trains before proceeding. There will be police enforcing this traffic rule throughout the festival, and penalty fines are significant.

9. Continue on Tuppal Road until you see signage directing you to turn left onto Lower River Road. This road contains a number of one way bridges and floodways, PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE GIVE WAY SIGNS - there are harvest trucks and local residents using this road and you must respect the traffic rules to avoid an accident. 

10. Continue on Lower River Road until you reach the festival entrance.

 

Traveling from sydney

The drive from Melbourne to the Wildlands is 7 hours long. You can follow the high level directions below, click here to load directions, or use the Google Map coordinates 35°48'35.1"S 145°26'58.3"E to direct your path.

1. Get on the M1 heading west out of Sydney. 

2. Keep left to continue on the M5, which will turn slightly right and become the South Western Freeway

3. Continue on M31 National Highway / Hume Highway for 500kms

4. After passing Albury/Wodonga, take the B400 exit towards Yarrawonga

5. Continue on B400 Murray Valley Highway through Yarrawonga to Cobram

6. Turn right towards Koonoomoo onto A39 Goulbourn Valley Highway, and you will pass by the Big Strawberry.

7. After crossing the bridge over the Murray River, turn right at the roundabout to reach the historic town of Tocumwal, where you can stop for all supplies that you may require before entering the festival. Click here for the list of local shops & services.
